LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
ARE YOU LOOKING TO PLAN THE PERFECT LONDON WEDDING? LET ME HELP.
With over 10 years of experience in capturing weddings in London, I’ve came across many wedding venues that offer that chic, iconic London charm. With a wide range of stunning town halls from Old Marylebone to Islington town hall, the city has everything to offer. In the past 5 years intimate weddings and elopements have become more popular on the wedding scene. Even celebrities are amongst the couples using some of the most popular registry offices across the big smoke, bringing more and more potential bride and grooms in from other towns to the capital.
Having photographed over 50 London weddings and elopements, I’ve picked up a few handy tips along the way as well as some useful planning ideas. I’d love to share some of the most important ones with you to help make the planning process feel a little easier and more enjoyable.
LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE
I know how to work within the city’s fast paced environment, from busy registry offices to iconic landmarks and hidden corners of the capital. London weddings often move quickly, so I focus on staying one step ahead, knowing exactly where to be to capture the natural, in between moments as they unfold.
My approach is all about blending into the day, allowing things to happen naturally while still gently guiding when needed to create timeless, editorial images that reflect the atmosphere of your day, but also London itself.
Although I’m a Kent wedding photographer based just outside Maidstone, I regularly photograph weddings across London and throughout the UK, bringing the same natural and unobtrusive approach wherever I work.

ICONIC. EDITORIAL. MODERN.

Plan Your London Wedding
BOOK YOUR CEREMONY VENUE EARLY
If you're looking for that chic London registry office look then make sure you book early to avoid any disappointment. Popular venues like Old Marylebone Town Hall gets booked up fast and you sometimes have to wait 12-18 months for an ideal date.
PLAN YOUR ROUTE FOR YOUR COUPLE PORTRAITS
If you're thinking of a London wedding or elopement chances are you're after that editorial classy look for your photos. Have a good think about locations you may want to pick for your couple portraits. Popular spots are Park Crescent, outside designer shops and the beautiful Notting Hill area.
CONSIDER TRAVEL TIMES AND TRAFFIC
London traffic can be an absolute nightmare especially in prime times. So if you're travelling between venues on the day, maybe from Chelsea Town Hall to The Savoy, then allow extra time especially if there's any roadworks or events on.
CONSIDER THE TOURIST FACTOR
If you're longing for a city wedding in the capital then chances are you will be surrounded not just by your guests, but the public and tourists. Make sure you're happy at the prospect of random people being in the background of your photos. If you want a background clear from any random people then maybe a London wedding isn't for you.
VISIT YOUR VENUE AT THE SAME TIME
Visiting your wedding venue at the same time the ceremony is booked for before your wedding will give you an idea of what to expect on the day. The lighting, crowds and atmosphere can feel completely different at certain times during the day.
DOUBLE CHECK VENUE RESTRICTIONS
A large amount of London venues have certain restrictions in place. Especially in the city centre. This may include no drone footage or confetti. So if you're after a specific shot, for example your guests throwing confetti after you've exchanged vows, this may not be allowed.

LONDON WEDDING VENUES
With a wide range of stunning town halls and wedding venues across the city, from Old Marylebone Town Hall to Islington Town Hall, London really does have everything to offer. Popular wedding venues include elegant registry offices, iconic hotels, and unique city spaces that bring a modern yet timeless feel to wedding photography.
One of my personal favourites is the historic Old Marylebone Town Hall. This has to be one of my favourite London registry offices to capture a wedding story. The architecture of the grand building boasting tall pillars out the front makes for a perfect backdrop for those all important couple portraits. Gathering your loved ones on the stairs outside for group shots and the iconic confetti shot makes a statement in your wedding collection.
Having a number of different rooms to hold a ceremony, varying from the Westminster that can hold the most amount of guests to the Soho room which is much more intimate, each one has its own ornate features which add to their unique atmosphere. You can see a full wedding gallery from Marylebone Town Hall here.

MY LOVE FOR LONDON WEDDINGS
You want your photographer to love London as much as you do to see the potential that it has to offer. I lived in the bustling streets of South London. Growing up with the big red buses, the Saturday markets and high rise flats surrounding where I lived. London holds a big part of my heart. Its shaped my character and allowed me to be the creative I am today. Walking down brick lane viewing the art, inspired me and allowed me to express my creativity within my photography. I love the streets of London as much as I love weddings, and combining the two is a match made in heaven. My perfect combination. Let me help you see beyond the vision for your wedding day and bring out the truly iconic parts of London it's known for.
