How did you guys meet?
We met online - can’t remember who messaged who first!
Who popped the big question and how?
Alex completely surprised me on my birthday by proposing at tower bridge, he’d hired one of the walkways at the top and had it all lit up and with music playing when I got there - I thought i was just meeting him there for one of the dinner events they host there so was completely taken aback!
What made you deicide on your venue?
As soon as we saw Bradbourne House we loved it, the idea of having the whole house to ourselves for our day was so appealing and the staff could not have been more help to us. They helped us create our perfect day.
How long did it take for you to find your perfect dress?
Dress choosing was difficult as I could not find anything that matched up to what I wanted. I met the owners of Yours Truly in Maidstone at the Detling showground wedding fair and they were just amazing and helped me create exactly what I wanted by customising a style I had seen. I could not have been happier with how it turned out.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Favourite part was the ceremony. To have all of our friends and family there to see us say our vows was beyond special and a memory I will have forever.
If you could give any advice to future brides to be, what would it be?
It’s hard to follow this advice but don’t stress! And try not to let it take over your life! We used to have a set day each week where we would sit down and talk about wedding stuff and then we would cover everything in that time. A planner and spreadsheet for the budget and guests was also invaluable! We also asked everyone on their rsvp to choose a song they would like to hear in the evening so it guaranteed people were up dancing!
Finally, I would love it if you could give me some feedback about the service I have provided you?
Charlene was fabulous from start to finish - we never felt like she was intruding in the day and the images she has captured are just wonderful and tell the story of our special day amazingly well!
Venue: Bradbourne House
Courtney and Alex got married at the beautiful Bradbourne House in East Malling, Kent. Its an absolutely stunning venue with exclusive access all day. There are several rooms which all boast individual character and features. The great hall has tiffany blue walls with many different paintings to create an exceptional elegant atmosphere. Not only is there the many great photo opportunities within the house, take a walk outside on the vast amount of land including a secret fruit garden.
When I first met Courtney and Alex they explained that they were more of a comedy couple, which they definitely lived up to on the day. They were so much fun to photograph and had me constantly in stitches. Courtney looked absolutely beautiful in a customised gown which suited her perfectly. I really do say this to often, but couples like these guys are really why I love my job. Here are some of my favourite snaps from the day.
