KENT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Love Stories Elegantly Told
KENT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER FOR THE HOPELESS ROMANTICS
Wedding photography in Kent and across the UK, capturing natural, emotional moments without awkward posing.
Providing more than just wedding photography, as a Kent wedding photographer I get to know you, blend in with your day, and then capture each piece of your personal love story. It’s those “in-between” moments that I love, the ones that happen when you least expect it. These are the moments you’ll want to relive over and over again, the ones that matter the most.

ELEGANT. NATURAL. ROMANTIC.

The greatest art in the world is the art of storytelling.
On your special day I love to capture the moments as they unfold in a modern and timeless way. With over 15 years of experience as a wedding photographer in Kent and throughout the worldwide wedding industry, I remain discreet which allows me to capture the genuine emotions on a wedding day. Knowing exactly where to stand to capture significant and unforgettable moments between you and your family and friends.
In between these moments lie the natural parts of the day which I capture as if it were a story. There’s absolutely no pressure for any of my Bride and Grooms, just a little direction at times to produce a gorgeous wedding gallery for you to enjoy for years to come. My storytelling approach turns each photograph in to a keepsake to cherish, a journey of love and emotion to pass down to future generations.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY ACROSS KENT & BEYOND
Based just outside Maidstone, I’m surrounded by so many beautiful wedding venues in Kent and feel lucky to call the Garden of England home. From elegant manor houses in the rolling countryside to historic castles and coastal celebrations, Kent offers some of the most beautiful wedding backdrops in the UK.
Although Kent is where I’m based, I absolutely love travelling across the UK and beyond for weddings. Whether it’s a countryside wedding in the Cotswolds, a stylish city celebration in London or a destination wedding abroad, I’m always excited to discover somewhere new.

Welcome.
MEET CHARLENE
The award winning Kent wedding photographer behind the lens.
Hi, I’m Charlene, a Kent wedding photographer based just outside Maidstone. I live in a small picturesque village just outside of Maidstone. I’m surrounded by so many beautiful venues in Kent, but I do love to capture weddings all over the country, as well as destinations.
I have a genuine love for capturing natural, moments that you will want to relive over and over again. If you're after wedding photos that don't just look beautiful, but feel like you, you're in the right place.
My approach is all about capturing the natural moments of your big day and shaping them into a beautiful authentic story. With a style that's timeless and elegant, I focus on the little things- the wedding bouquet, bridal preparations, the quiet moments and the big emotions, that truly tell your story.
If you want your wedding day to be preserved with authenticity, emotion, and a touch of artistry, then let's connect.

The beauty is always in what’s unfolding.
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY WITH A RELAXED EDITORIAL VIBE
I’d describe my photography style as editorial with a natural, romantic feel, but what does that actually mean for my Bride and Grooms? Well most of your day is captured naturally from the morning preparations and candid guest moments to the genuine emotions and reactions in between. I won’t have you constantly posing or spending hours away from your guests. There’s no awkward or tacky posing, just a little direction here and there. I call it naturally posed.
When it comes to your couple portraits and a few other important moments throughout the day, I’ll gently direct you to create those timeless, artistic images you’ll want hanging on your walls for years to come. I find prompts work best to give you natural reactions so it’s no forced smiles. Just real laughs and emotions.
I create photographs that feel like they should be in a magazine, this is where the term editorial comes in to it. Using the best light, backgrounds and composition I create modern art with meaning . That doesn’t mean everything has to look perfect or overly posed, it’s just about capturing your day in a way that feels beautiful, honest, and true to you.

EMBRACE AUTHENTICITY
Say goodbye to awkward posing and hello to heartfelt moments.
The first thing many of my bride and grooms tell me is "We're not good at posing, but we love your photos!" If that sounds like you, don't worry that's exactly why my couples choose me. Most of your day will be captured candidly, with only a few gently guided moments.
To me, posing isn't about stiff look at me moments or forced smiles, it's about subtle direction that brings out natural, genuine emotions. My approach is relaxed and effortless using simple prompts to create timeless, real, beautiful imagery.

I LOVE TO CAPTURE WEDDINGS ALL OVER WORLD NOT JUST KENT
But here’s why Kent carries a special place in my heart.
As a Kent wedding photographer, I’m lucky enough to work at some of the county’s most beautiful venues while also travelling across the UK and abroad.
One of the things I love most about Kent is the variety it has to offer. You can spend the morning walking through the cobbled streets of Canterbury with its historic architecture and then find yourself in Whitstable eating fish and chips by the sea.
The Kent countryside boasts fields full of wildflowers in the summer, apple orchards down quiet country lanes that all glow beautifully during ‘golden hour.’ That perfect time of the day that photographers wait patiently for.
Kent is also home to some stunning wedding venues. From Leeds Castle to the elegant gardens at Goodnestone Park or the relaxed luxury feel of The Orangery, which is one of my favourite wedding venues.
I think that’s what makes weddings here feel so personal and unique. Every venue has a different corner of Kent. Whether it’s a black tie celebration in a stately home, a laid-back marquee wedding in the countryside or an intimate coastal ceremony overlooking the sea, Kent offers the perfect backdrop.
Being surrounded by nature is something that constantly inspires my photography. I love the soft light you get at golden hour across the countryside, the texture of old stone buildings, and the calmness that comes from being beside the sea. It all adds to that relaxed, fine art feel that I’m naturally drawn to when capturing weddings.
If you’re planning your wedding in Kent, London or anywhere beyond, I’d love to hear more about your plans.
