Avington Wedding: Laura & Henry's Joyful Two Day Wedding

Some weddings just stay with you, full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments and Laura and Henry’s Avington Estate wedding was exactly that. Set within the timeless beauty of Avington Park, their two-day celebration was one of pure joy, carefully planned and filled with emotion from start to finish.

Day One: The Welcome Party

The celebrations began the day before the wedding with a relaxed and love-filled BBQ at one of the Otters Barns on the Avington Park estate. Guests arrived to the smell of sizzling food, laughter in the air, and the warmest of welcomes. Penelope Weddings styled the space beautifully, and Chilli Pepper Event Catering created a delicious feast that brought everyone together.

It was the perfect way to begin the weekend, no formalities, just friends and family enjoying the countryside setting, toasting to what was about to be an unforgettable wedding.

Day Two: The Avington Wedding Day

Day two unfolded in classic Avington style, grand, elegant, and brimming with emotion. With Penny from Penelope Weddings leading the day, every detail was perfectly planned, allowing Laura and Henry to simply enjoy each moment.

The ceremony began outdoors in the beautiful grounds of Avington Park, surrounded by dreamy florals by Rachel Morgan Flowers. Just as the couple exchanged their vows, the heavens opened, and we were suddenly in the middle of a dramatic downpour! Everyone ran inside laughing and rather than spoiling the moment, it added even more magic to the day. Spirits were high, and love most definitely won over the weather.

The Details & Evening Celebration

Melissa Clare Makeup worked her magic on hair and makeup, ensuring Laura looked stunning throughout the day. Stewart the Celebrant led the ceremony and reception with so much warmth and humour, and the whole day felt personal and joy-filled. The styling was beautiful throughout, with furniture and bar setups by Wedhead London, silk florals from Hire and Admire Blooms, and garden games by The Lawn Game Company adding the perfect relaxed touch.

One of my favourite moments was later in the evening when Laura surprised everyone with an outfit change, stepping out in a short, glitzy dress that sparkled under the lights. It was such a fun, carefree moment and the perfect way to start the night’s celebrations.
