Paris Wedding Photographer | Four Iconic Parisian Locations

There’s something about Paris that just makes every photograph feel that little bit more special. As a Paris wedding photographer, it’s one of those cities that never disappoints. Every street seems to have another beautiful backdrop waiting around the corner, and everywhere you look there’s incredible architecture, soft light and so much character.
For this editorial shoot, we wanted to create something timeless that would inspire couples dreaming of a wedding or elopement in Paris. We visited four of the city’s most iconic locations, each with its own completely different feel, allowing us to create a gallery full of variety while still keeping that elegant Parisian look throughout.
Working alongside such a talented team made the whole day even more special. Holly Butler Atelier provided three beautiful bridal looks, while Paris Ceurvel Hair and Rosie Cerosio created effortlessly elegant hair and makeup that perfectly suited each location.
One of the things I loved most about this shoot was how every location brought something different. Within just a few hours we created photographs that all felt unique, even though they were taken in the same city. That’s one of the reasons I love photographing weddings and editorials in Paris so much.
Wedding Photography at The Louvre
We started the morning at one of the most recognisable landmarks in the world, The Louvre.
As a Paris wedding photographer, I honestly don’t think I’ll ever get bored of photographing here. It has such a grand feel without needing lots of styling, and the contrast between the historic buildings and the modern glass pyramid makes every gallery feel interesting.
The bride wore a beautiful ruffled gown by Holly Butler Atelier, and it couldn’t have suited the location more. Every time she walked, the layers of the skirt caught the movement perfectly, creating the kind of natural photographs I love. Rather than lots of stiff posing, we simply let the dress do what it was designed to do.
Paris Ceurvel Hair styled soft waves that moved beautifully in the breeze, while Rosie Cerosio created fresh, glowing makeup that looked effortless in the natural morning light.
One of my favourite things about photographing at The Louvre is how many different backgrounds you can create within a few minutes. You have the famous pyramid, the endless archways, elegant stone buildings and beautiful symmetry everywhere you look. Even taking a few steps in another direction completely changes the feel of the photographs. It really is one of those locations that photographs beautifully from every angle.
Romantic Portraits at Place de la Concorde
Our next stop was Place de la Concorde, and the atmosphere here couldn’t have been more different.
With the beautiful fountains flowing in the background and the famous obelisk standing proudly behind us, it felt relaxed, romantic and full of life. This is one of those places where I always find couples naturally start laughing and interacting with each other because there’s so much happening around them.
The bride changed into a shorter lace dress from Holly Butler Atelier, which felt like the perfect choice for this part of the shoot. It brought a fun, modern feel while still looking elegant against the classic Paris architecture.
I particularly loved photographing around the fountains. They add movement and texture to the images without taking attention away from the couple, and they make such a gorgeous backdrop for natural portraits.
Some of my favourite photographs from this part of the shoot weren’t even planned. They came from simply letting the couple sit together, chat and enjoy the moment rather than worrying about posing. Those are always the images that feel the most genuine.
Editorial Wedding Photography at Le Petit Palais
Le Petit Palais has to be one of my favourite places to photograph in Paris.
It’s absolutely full of beautiful details, but somehow never feels too busy in photographs. The elegant stonework, grand columns and sweeping staircases create such a timeless backdrop that works perfectly for editorial style wedding photography.
For this location, the bride wore a stunning lace gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves by Holly Butler Atelier. It was classic, elegant and suited the building perfectly.
Paris Ceurvel Hair changed the look into a sleek updo, while Rosie Cerosio kept the makeup soft and natural, allowing the dress and surroundings to speak for themselves.
I always find staircases create some of the most elegant wedding photographs. They naturally add movement and give couples space to interact without feeling awkward. Whether walking hand in hand or simply looking at each other, the photographs always feel relaxed rather than over posed.
The beautiful architecture at Le Petit Palais meant we didn’t need to overcomplicate anything. Sometimes the simplest photographs become the strongest when you’re surrounded by somewhere this beautiful.
Photographing Couples at Pont Alexandre III
To finish the shoot, we headed to Pont Alexandre III, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect way to end the day.
This is probably one of my favourite locations as a Paris wedding photographer. You have the incredible bridge itself, the ornate gold details, the River Seine and, if you position yourselves just right, the Eiffel Tower appearing in the distance.
It’s one of those views that instantly feels like Paris.
By this point, the afternoon light had softened beautifully, giving everything that warm glow photographers always hope for. The light reflected off the stone and gold details of the bridge, making every image feel soft and romantic.
Rather than rushing through lots of poses, we slowed everything down. The couple simply walked together, stopped to admire the view and enjoyed being in the moment. Those quieter moments always end up being some of my favourites because they feel completely natural.
It’s proof that you don’t need lots of complicated posing when you have beautiful light, an incredible location and two people enjoying the experience together.
Why I Love Being a Paris Wedding Photographer
Every time I photograph in Paris, I come away feeling inspired. What I love most isn’t just the famous landmarks. It’s how every part of the city has its own personality. You can move from grand architecture to elegant bridges, quiet streets and beautiful gardens in just a few minutes, giving couples a gallery that feels full of variety while still telling one story.
As a Paris wedding photographer, I always look for natural light, genuine moments and timeless locations that won’t date in years to come. Paris gives you all of that without even trying.
