The Orangery Wedding: A Bridgerton Inspired Affair

I was recently invited to photograph an editorial Bridgerton inspired wedding shoot at The Orangery in Maidstone, and it turned out to be one of those shoots that stays with you long after you pack up your camera. The venue already has this calm, elegant feel, and paired with colourful florals and romantic styling, the whole setup had that soft, cinematic atmosphere you instantly want to bottle.
The concept centred around a single bride model, styled in a classic gown with delicate details that felt perfectly in tune with the Bridgerton theme. The florals were impossible to ignore, bright, textured arrangements that added depth and movement to every frame. Against the greenery of the gardens and the soft light inside The Orangery, the colours really came into their own.

We also had a bridesmaid model on set, which meant I could focus on capturing those natural, friendship-driven moments you’d expect on a real wedding morning. Little interactions, shared smiles, and the kind of calm, supportive energy that always makes for some of my favourite images.
The Orangery wedding venue is such a pleasure to photograph, from the lakeside walkways to the bright, airy interiors, every part of it gives you something different to work with. As a Maidstone wedding photographer, shoots like this highlight how beautifully the space adapts to different styles and personalities.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer who knows The Orangery well and loves creating colourful, character-filled images, I’d be happy to chat about your plans.
