Wedding Inspiration At Euridge Manor
As a wedding photographer, there are certain venues that make you reach for your camera before you’ve even unpacked your kit bag. Euridge Manor is definitely one of them. Tucked away down quiet country lanes near the little village of Colerne, just a short drive past Bath and Chippenham in the Wiltshire hills, it is easily one of the most remarkable private estates I have ever shot. From the moment you pull into the grounds and see the grand stone steps opening up in front of you, it’s obvious why couples travel from across the country to tie the knot here.
I recently photographed a luxury wedding editorial at Euridge Manor, which was the ideal setting to show off the estate's distinct personality. Between the crumbling stone ruins, the open-air crystal chandelier, wide open valley views, and the boathouse sitting on the water, shooting here feels far more like being on a private villa estate in Italy or France than typical countryside England.
Having worked at Euridge Manor multiple times for both real weddings and editorial projects, I’ve come to know the flow of the grounds intimately. Understanding how the sunlight shifts across the valley throughout the afternoon makes a massive difference when scheduling group photos or sneaking away for golden hour. What I love most as a photographer is the constant variety. In a single hour, you can go from rowing across the private lake to taking quiet portraits under heavy stone arches, or catching candid moments as guests drift through the secluded rose gardens.
Why Euridge Manor Is One of My Favourite Wedding Venues to Photograph
Even with such expansive grounds, the layout manages to feel surprisingly connected and comfortable. The lakeside boathouse is probably the most famous feature on the property, and it’s always a high point for couple portraits. Getting out on the water in the rowboat is an absolute must, and I always encourage my couples to take ten minutes out for it. I love shooting from high up on the terrace above the lake to give those water portraits a clean, high-fashion feel.
The central stone staircase is another architectural detail that makes portraits look incredible. It anchors the landscape beautifully, adding immediate height and drama to full-length shots. Set against the signature warm stone of the Cotswolds and lush greenery, the resulting images look elegant without feeling overly staged. Tucked away in the gardens is the open archway featuring the venue's iconic outdoor chandelier. It's a versatile spot that works brilliantly whether you want quiet, intimate portraits or an atmospheric backdrop for a evening drink setup. I prefer bringing couples here later in the day when the sun drops behind the stone wall and softens the light. As dusk approaches, the glow from the chandelier adds a lovely warmth to the frame. I usually keep things simple here, having couples walk through together or turn towards each other to keep the movement natural.
A Luxury Wedding Editorial in The Cotswolds
This luxury editorial brought together a creative team focused on styling that matched the grand scale of the estate. From The Lost Orangery area, with its sunlit glasshouse feel and Mediterranean warmth, to the sweeping upper lawn terraces, every setup was designed to complement the surroundings.

The flowers by Lottie Rose Designs introduced soft, loose textures that balanced the heavy stonework around the grounds. The organic floral arrangements felt right at home against the countryside, while overall styling by KCO Eventsensured every table and portrait space flowed together seamlessly.
Fashion and Styling
The bridal look was another highlight of the day. The gown from Morgan Davies Bridal combined a crisp, modern shape with lightweight movement that stood out beautifully against the aged stone walls and near The Ballroom lawn spaces. Long veils from The Wedding Veil Shop caught the breeze for dynamic portrait shots, while delicate pieces from Nicholls Jewellery added a clean finish. Liris Makeup Bag created a fresh, luminous makeup look that kept the bride looking glowing and natural throughout the shoot.
Details and Planning
Photographing detail flat-lays and tablescapes is always a favorite part of the process for me. The cake design by Sue Hurst Cake Design provided a sleek, understated centerpiece that matched the subtle luxury of the styling.
